- Location: Bjelašnica Mountain
Day 1: From the Studeni Fields, participants will hike along Obalj's side to the 40 metre Peruce Waterfall, and will be treated to beautiful views and cool breezes coming from the Visočica and Treskavica. After a break at Peruće, the group will begin the gentle ascent of 200 metres to Gornji (upper) Lukomir. Lukomir is Bosnia's highest village at 1,469 metres, where villagers stick to the "old way" of doing things. This village has ancient stecci (medieval tombstones).
Day 2: The group will depart Lukomir in the early morning hours and make their way towards the interior of Bjelasnica. Along the way the occasional shepherd may be encountered, with his sheep grazing on the steep slopes of Bjelašnica. After an hour and a half, participants will begin the gradual climb to Greda, a beautiful pass in between Krvavac (Bjelašnica's second highest peak at 2,062 metres) and Debela Brda (1,987 metres). Here participants are treated to magnificent views of Bjelašnica's highest peaks: Treskavica, Visočica, Zelengora, and Jahorina. The group will then begin their ascent to the beautiful summer village of Stanari and Green Visions' mountain hut, which is the day's final destination.
Day 3: The group will wake up with views of Hranisava's phenomenal peak which towers 1,900 metres above the small valley where the mountain hut is located. After breakfast participants will trek up to Lokvanjsko Lake - a tiny lake perched high in the mountains surrounded by high altitude alpine pines called ‘kleka'. The group will stop here for lunch among the peaceful surroundings. The return to Stanari will be through the "back way" - via Ljeljen and Krošnje, an abandoned summer settlement (1,650 metres) at the foot of Krvavac.
Day 4: On the last day the group will hike from the hut through a pine and beech wood forest up to the Gate of Wind where they will be greeted either pleasantly by a warm gentle Bjelašnica breeze, or a rugged piercing south wind. Participants will then traverse up to a small Shepherd's hut (1,620 metres), before beginning a steep 60 minute climb to the top of Hranisava (1,953 metres) to the highest mountain hut in Bosnia. From the top the group will hike down to another hut, Podgradina, hidden in a valley of thick pines and blooming summer flowers. The trail leads to the village of Ljubovčići (700 metres), the trek's final destination.
