Our rafting partners are actively involved in promoting responsible use of the river, through information campaigns and clean up actions all along the upper parts of Neretva River and canyon.

Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

Each year our rafting partners organise and coordinate a clean up event all along the upper parts of the Neretva River and canyon. It is an event sponsored by various rafting agencies, civil society, schools, mountain rescue services and government institutions.

They are actively involved in their opposition, as part of a local environmental network, to the construction of a hydroelectric dam on the upper Neretva River. Government and corporate partners are pushing for damming the upper Neretva, regardless of the numerous independent local and international reports that outline that this will cause both severe environmental and social problems in the region. Both our partners and Green Visions are seeking a complete halt to building hydroelectric on this part of the Neretva River.
